Whales of Iceland is the largest whale exhibition of its kind in the world. On display are 23 life-size models of whale species that have been seen in Icelandic waters. Even the leviathan of
the sea, the blue whale, is in full size – nearly the length of a basketball court!

Whales of Iceland is an innovative and engaging exhibition that features an interactive minke whale display and detailed information stands for each whale presented. Whales of Iceland is a 20 minute walk from the heart of Reykjavík in the harbour area. Combine your visit with a whale watching tour that is only a short walk away and see whales in their natural habitat. Enjoy a snack and drink under the whales in our café!
Whales of Iceland is open seven days a week, year round. Plenty of free parking. Very close to the Aurora Reykjavík, Reykjavík Martime and the Saga Museums.
