ROADHOUSE - 20% DISCOUNT OF MAIN DISHES
At Roadhouse you can be sure to get some real american food with a whole lot of soul made with a whole lot of love. The staff at Roadhouse takes much pride in making all their food from scratch. We hand cut our fries and double fry them to perfection, smoke our ribs in three different wood types, make three different bbq sauces, make our own rubs, pickle our own cucumbers and so on and so on.
The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. Roadhouse is owned by rewarded culinary chefs Sigurður Karl Guðgeirsson and Gunnar Davíð Chan and the gastronaut Ásta Sveinsdóttir. They also own other popular restaurants in the Kringlan, the shopping mall.
With Roadhourse they wanted to recreate the 1920-1970 era in America. All the furniture was custom made in Iceland and we gathered memorabilia from America so you can find all kinds of interesting authentic american stuff to look at. Roadhouse will bring you back in time and bring back good memories and taste of the good old days. You can also drop by for a selection of american cakes or sit down for a drink to clench your thirst
Happy Hour at Roadhouse is on Friday and Saturday evenings from 21.30-23.00.
Taken from Reykjavík Grapevine magazine:
Seven Great dishes to try in Iceland:
"Empire State at Roadhouse. Went off the deep end, swam to the moon and came back with a grilled sandwich between its teeth(along with jalapeno, bacon, eggs, oninon rings and two large burgers). Comfort food bordering on discomfort.
Roadhouse -the taste that brings you back."
